Description Tango is a rich and opulent fragrance. It is warm and boozy, avoiding the pitfalls of overt sweetness and instead opting for the more sophisticated touch of woods and spices. The amber accord is applied delicately here—used as a soft accent rather than the main theme. The result is an oriental fragrance that feels complex and full-bodied without being overly sweet. A delicate melange of woods, spices and floral notes, softened by a warm, slightly salty amber. Tango opens with a burst of spices—cardamom, cumin and cinnamon—followed by the floral sweetness of jasmine and rose. Tonka bean provides a plush backdrop of sweet hay as the delicate aroma of benzoin floats in the background. The addition of sweet clover adds a verdancy that works to keep the richness of the fragrance from becoming overwhelming in much the same way as Shalimar's bergamot or Must de Cartier's galbanum provided balance. The fragrance rests on a warm woody base of sandalwood, cedar and guaïac wood. It is no coincidence that Tango feels as if from another era. It revels in the opulence of classical oriental compositions and smells absolutely divine. The world needs more oriental fragrances like Tango.
